Wednesday: Begin writing workshop: Autobiographical essay -- students choose a memorable life event and write an essay about how that event had an impact on their life.

HW: write an essay where you answer the following question -- "What are your expectations for this school year?"

Friday: TURN IN ESSAY, discuss plagiarism and ways to avoid it, discuss literature and writing, go over general expectations for the year.
